Beverly Lindsay OBE OD DL

Beverly was born in Jamaica and came to Birmingham to complete her education. She started her career in nursing and midwifery, then as a Senior Community Worker in Handsworth. She also worked in financial services before establishing Diamond Travel in 1987.

 

Beverly is a mentor, Ambassador and supporter of the African Caribbean community in Birmingham, the UK and internationally. Her success in business, aligned with her longstanding support for the local community, has resulted in her receiving many awards for her outstanding work.

 

Beverly became a member of the Rotary Club of Birmingham in 1997 and was the first African-Caribbean woman to serve as the President. (2012/13)

 

Beverly is the Chairman of the Association of Jamaican Nationals (Birmingham) UK, a Board Member of the University of Birmingham’s Community Advisory Board, Director/Company Secretary of 3B (Black Business in Birmingham), a serving member of Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, Birmingham & Solihull Small Business Service and Birmingham City Council and Learning & Skills.

 

Appointed in 2013.  QAVS and Birmingham Ambassador.
